ABOUT ME

My name’s Michaela, i’m 25 years old, and i’m absolutely, completely and utterly, unimaginably RUBBISH at writing ‘about me’ pages.

Okay, so I love books. That’s the main thing. In all honesty, I actually signed up here because I wanted to be able to support a few of my friends, and leave random comments on their blogs, and just generally be as best a cheerleader as I can manage. But I thought, hey, while I’m here, there’s no harm in at the very least setting up my page. And, you never know, I might actually put it to good use some day!

So, I’ve always loved to read. Absolutely from the second my brain could even decipher the words on a page, I was enthralled. Over recent years, due to my own personal reasons, be it stress or business, or something else entirely, I’ve slacked a little as far as reading has gone. But, in the past couple years, 2018 in particular, I decided to get my act together and get back in the game, and I managed a fairly decent 67 books last year! Yes, some of those were short stories and comic books, but all the same. It’s never truly about quantity, but ensuring you’re enjoying the content in front of you, right? And, for the most part, I did! I read some really great books, and some really terrible books, but I can’t say that I regret any of them. Every book is an experience, one way or another!

Anyway.

I’m a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, as many of my closest friends will know! I collect copies of Alice, as well as an abundance of different editions of the Harry Potter series. It sounds entirely cliche, I know, but both stories were pivotal to my life, and they took me from childhood to adulthood and taught me a lot of lessons as I grew up.

A few of my other ultimate favourites over the years also include Olive Twist, Annie, the Raven Cycle series, the Chaos Walking series, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, How To Stop Time, and so very many more.

I can’t say for sure what will come of this blog. I made it just to support my friends, but it would be an absolute shame for it to go to complete waste. So, maybe expect posts, maybe don’t. They could vary from books, to theatre, to life in general, or maybe some day i’ll find a topic and stick to it. Who knows!
